Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with anatomical features of softwood
samples.
Learning Outcomes – Upon completion of this exercise you should be able to:
- determine anatomical features of softwood samples.
- identify wood structure using the basic techniques for describing and sampling woods
- classify wood samples according to common names, scientific name and family name
