Hands-On Exercises 6. Modification of the Cell Wall
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize you with different modification of cell wall
of wood samples.
Learning Outcomes – Upon completion of this exercise you should be able to:
- determine type of modification of the cell wall of wood samples
- identify wood structure using the basic techniques for describing and sampling woods
- classify wood samples according to common names, scientific name and family name
Instruction: Illustrate the different modification of cell wall, identify and label the parts
