5 - Profiling³: in recruiting: finding the right employees

In order to determine the extent to which the three important
drivers are characterized, you should ask the following questions:

               To the economic motivator

                • "How important is it for you to make a lot of money? What is
'a lot of money' for you?"
                • "Where would you like to be financially in the next five years?
Where in the next ten years? Why?"
                • "What role does a high salary play in your career choice or
                   decision to keep a job?"
                • "To what extent do you strive for financial independence,
including with respect to the people with whom you have a
                   close relationship, such as family?"

               To the individualistic driver

                • "What role does the feeling of being in control of a
situation play in your job satisfaction? How important is it
for you to be able to take control of your own destiny?"
                • "How important is independence to you? How important
are power and influence? How satisfied would you be with a
job if none of these factors were present?"
                • "How well can you handle instructions from others? To what
                   extent can you accept them?"
                • "How do you go about motivating others to act? Please give
a concrete example of a situation from your professional life
in which you were able to motivate a group of people to act,
and please describe how you did it."
