Vogelhuber, Scheelen - What people really want
To the theoretical motivator
• "Which is more important to you: active action or expertise?"
• "Would you describe yourself as an expert in a field? What
area is that? How did you go about acquiring the relevant
knowledge?"
• "What do you particularly enjoy learning? What areas or
topics do you particularly enjoy learning about?"
• "How comfortable do you feel about taking the time, en- ergy,
and effort necessary to acquire knowledge about a subject or
topic about which you have known very little? And how do
you feel about doing so if you have little interest in the subject
or topic?"
Asking the right in-depth questions
We are sure that your training, also with "Vogelhuber's Pro- filing-
Machine", has prepared you very well to ask the right questions
in the job interview in order to circle the personality structure and
the drivers of an applicant more and more.
Now you should drill even deeper and use your questioning
technique to analyze whether the applicant is strong in the
areas that are important to you according to the requirements
profile. The in-depth questions will help you to do this.
