                                                                                           The Mountain Artillery Training Centre (MATC) had
                                                                                    relocated  to  Ambala  in  1931  from  Lucknow,  just  two  years
                                                                                    before the Reunion. The MATC was separate from the Royal

                                                                                    Artillery which continued to have its Centre at Mathura.

                                                                                           The  Veterans  who  attended  were  the  battle  hardened

                                                                                    soldiers  with  the  experience  of  WW1  and  the  NWFP
                                                                                    Campaigns. Originally eight Batteries were raised, increased to
                                                                                    34 in WW1 and reorganized to 19 by 1933. The veterans were
             Captain  Kishen  Singh,  5   Mountain   Captain  Ghulam  Mohammed,  Derajat   primarily from undivided Punjab.
