Introduction
The Tanya Horne School of Highland Dancing (THSOHD) has a very active and a very well supported
PTA. All parents, carers and staff who have children attending THSOHD are automatically members.
The PTA aims to encourage good relations between staff, parents/carers and others associated with
the school, to support the school to achieve the best possible dance experience for the dancers. The
objectives of the PTA are to; organise fund raising activities, to involve as many people as possible
and to make the activities fun and community based where possible.
The PTA isn’t just about raising money for the school, the role is wider than that, and has the
dancers dance education at the heart of it. We aim each year to expand on this.
We encourage you to enrich and and add to our dancers lives by becoming involved. If you have any
comments or suggestions you can either raise these at a meeting or by e-mailing
