COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE
ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE
The Ashley Furniture HomeStore project, built for Rockledge Furniture, LLC.,
included the renovation of a two-story, 66,000 square foot retail store located in
Downers Grove, IL. The facility houses a showroom, a stockroom, and a lower level
parking garage. Renovations consisted of utilizing the existing concrete foundation
and ballast roof, demolishing existing interior and floor finishes, and constructing a
new masonry structural frame with steel columns and a split-face masonry exterior.
The project also featured the installation of a new exterior insulation and finish
system, a concrete polished floor, new windows, and façade upgrades. Due to
CORE’s coordination with the client, the Ashley Furniture HomeStore project was
fully completed in 60 days and ready to open to the public.
