ENCOURAGE MOUNTAIN SKY
JUNIOR HIGH
SCHOOL MURAL
Over 30 years ago, Robert
Wyland, now a famed
marine artist, painted a
large blue whale along
the side of a portable
classroom. During the
renovations, the Wyland
Whale Mural was going
to be demolished. CORE
successfully salvaged
the mural and invested
nearly 50-man hours to
gently remove, repair,
and store the artwork.
Each piece of the artwork
was screwed into the
brick wall in the library.

traveled from station to
station to learn about

through slits in the construction fence to get a look at the addition and renovations

they wanted to dress up as for Halloween that year, they all agreed they should be CURIOSITY
construction workers. We happily helped them, providing the entire staff with hard
hats and vests.
