Last year alone over 47,000 people were helped by
United Way-supported programs that are designed to
lift up some of the most vulnerable members of our
community. United Way funds 25 different programs,
and works together with more than 80 different
community partners.
Help Where &
When You Need It
Almost 6,000 people in crisis used United Way-funded
counselling & other support services located across
Windsor & Essex County last year. An additional 3,900
volunteers & professionals received training to
respond to people in crisis.
Inspiring Action
United Way-funded programs recruited 385 residents
to dedicate more than 6,400 hours to improve their
neighbourhood by revitalizing the surroundings,
increasing safety, and building leadership skills of
residents. This represents more than double the
volunteer hours dedicated last year to creating
stronger neighbourhoods.
