Workshops
Publishing workshops for young researchers to improve the scientific output of India in high impact factor journals in collaboration with the American Chemical Society (ACS)
Vigyan Prasar has initiated a new project in collaboration with DST and ACS for early career researchers. The objective of this project is to strengthen the skills of early career researchers (Ph.D. scholars, Post-Doctoral Fellows, and Young Faculty) to write research articles in high- impact journals through training workshops.
During the period under the report, five workshops were organised; those were attended by more than 700 participants. The workshops were organised at

Vigyan Prasar and Indian Association of Physics Teachers-IAPT Camp for Anveshika Toppers
Indian Association of Physics Teachers-IAPT and Vigyan Prasar jointly organised a Camp for Anveshika Toppers. National Anveshika Network of India-NANI conducted the national competition called ‘National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test-NEAST’. In 2018, a total of 16,730 students from 1,305 institutions across the country participated in NEAST. For the toppers of NEAST 2019 a 4-day camp was organised at Kanpur. The camp activities comprised of research stories, learning physics by simple experiments, and performing new experiments. The programme was completed successfully on 15 September 2019 at Kanpur.
International Conference on Climate Services 6, IITM Pune
Vigyan Prasar organised an event on 10 February 2020, on ‘Scaling up Climate Services through Policy and Communications’ as a run-up to the International Conference on Climate Services at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. Media coverage of the events during three days (11-13 February 2020), especially sessions on themes like Business models of climate services and Climate services to foster resilient development was also done by VP. A 12-minute short video film of VP on ‘Climate Services’ was screened during the inaugural function in the conference.
