Seminar on “Science Communication in Hindi” (Bhasha)
Vigyan Prasar organised a two-day seminar at Allahabad with Vigyan Parishad, Prayag during 31 May-1 June 2019, at Allahabad entitled “Emerging Trends in Science Communication in India”. About 40 writers attended the programme and discussed various aspects including science journalism, science fiction and science writing in Hindi. Officials and scientists of VP also presented papers.

Brainstorming Meetings
Meeting on Strengthening Science Outreach at the Community level in Dehradun
On 13 June 2019, a brainstorming meeting was held at HESCO in Dehradun by the office of PSA with all the Directors of the scientific institutes in and around Dehradun and Uttarakhand. The meeting was to develop a roadmap on reaching out to communities at the grassroots level with science and technology communication. The meeting was to explore the possibilities of collaborations with different institutions for outreach activities in the State of Uttarakhand.
Brainstorming for science communication and popularisation extension in Malayalam - road ahead at Thrissur, Kerala
Vigyan Prasar organised a brainstorming session at Thrissur, Kerala on 22 May 2019 to expand science popularisation, communication and extension activities in Malayalam language. The meeting was held at Ramanilayam at Thrissur and coordinated locally by Swadeshi Science Movement. The meeting was attended by authors, scientists, professors, teachers, journalists and publishers from various places of Kerala.
