Dr Rupa Kumar Kolli, Executive Director, International CLIVAR Monsoon Project, IITM Pune; Dr R Krishnan, Head, Centre for Climate Change, IITM Pune; and Dr D S Pai, Head, Climate Services Division, India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune were the lead speakers during the event. Speakers from Vigyan Prasar included Ms Kinkini Dasgupta Misra, Scientist, and Dr Archita Bhatta, Editor.
The recommendations at the side event would help form a roadmap on ways to reach climate-related information to the people and
also to influence policy for scaling up climate services.
National workshop on cyber-security and cryptology
A two-day national workshop on the current state of affairs in cyber-security and cryptology was held at NIT-Durgapur during 13-14 September 2019. The workshop was jointly organised by Vigyan Prasar, NIT-Durgapur, and Vivekananda Vijnan Mission. Eighty undergraduate and post- graduate students attended the workshop. Four technical sessions were conducted for two days.
