Most of the time cling in your stretch film is off your radar if the film works. Just be aware that good
cling is not an accident, it is a very important part of the extrusion formulation and process. Good cling
holds the loads together on both the cold and the dry side of the warehouse. It gives no problems during
storage, shipping, and handling. It is blessed, or as one of my friends likes to say, "it's a miracle!".

Footnote: Last week we had the opportunity to attend the AMI conference on Stretch & Shrink Film
2006 to review the latest trends in resin and extrusion technology as related to stretch film, printed shrink
film, and shrink hooder film. Presentations were given by industry leaders from North America and Europe.
While a lot of the information was highly technical in nature, the focus was clearly on the end result. That
is, how does the film run in your operation. Technology in resins and extrusion bring together the best in
the industry in order to benefit the mutual objectives of lower cost and better performance.
