The beautifully illustrated book 'Life' by M.Holmes and M.Gunton,
a BBC publication, on page 11 tells us: "Horseshoe crabs emerging
from the sea ... these marine creatures are little changed from ones
that existed in the ocean more than 400 million years ago, proving
that ancient lifestyles are sometimes the best."
How do the writers of this book decide the crabs have stayed the
same for 400 million years? By the fossils, which they date as being
that old.
What do horseshoe crab fossils look like? Exactly the same as
horseshoe crabs living today.
So the whole idea of these crabs being that old is based on the
ASSUMPTION that the fossils are 400 million years old.
Otherwise, all we have is "Horseshoe crabs are the same as those
found in the fossils."
Fossilised horseshoe crabs look e,c:actly the same as
Most of the world's fossils were produced by the global flood,
described in Genesis, which happened around 3500 years ago.
If, however, the fossils really were 400 million years old, all they
would prove is that no evolution has occurred.
