                                                                                             Richard Gunther

There are not many wheels in Nature, probably because it is not
efficient enough. Wheels have many limitations - legs are far better.
There is the ATP motor, and the electric motor in the flagellum,
              but not much else.
However, there is an outstanding wheel in the deserts of Africa.

It is found in the brunsvigia.
This plant waits for rain, and as soon as it comes it bursts into flower,
grows its seeds, and very quickly withers away in the soaring heat.
Now it looks like a giant dandelion, except it is perched on a stalk,
              with a weak connection point
As soon as a wind comes, the ball breaks off and begins to roll,
releasing a few seeds here and there as it rolls along.

How does this plant know not to flower until rain comes?
How does the flower know it needs a weak connection point,
so a wind will snap its seedhead off?

The plant knows nothing about seasons, rain, wind, or the
              mechanics of wheels.

God, who created the brunsvigia, designed all these things.
