You'll want to spread 1 to 2
inches of compost over the
surface of your garden, every
year. You can either dig the
compost into the soil or leave it
on top as a mulch.
For a great year-round fertilizer,
place about a quart of compost
in a cloth bag and little it steep
in a gallon of water for about 3-
4 days. You can use a diluted
solution for your seedlings. Add
2 parts water to one-part liquid
fertilizer for seedlings and full
strength for your mature plants.
