2.5 Roles of Building Team Member in Construction Project

The construction industry plays a major role in the growth of the country’s economy.
It is very important as it:

 Is closely interconnected with almost any other industry in one way or another.
 Provides the necessary built infrastructures for various purposes and activities for

nation building (including national productivity and revenue).
 Provides huge employment opportunities in various fields.
 Stimulates the growth of other related side industries (i.e material production etc).

 Contributes substantially to the country’s GDP.
 Directly indicates the country’s progress, global competetiveness and economic

strength.
