Main contractor usually have their own sub-contractor to execute works of a
minor nature or of certain limited trades. It is also normal that the main
contractor employ labour sub-contractor to supply the necessary workers to
site.
Examples of sub-contracts works are as follows:
Tiling work
Painting work
Ceiling plastering work
Roof installation work
Wall plastering
Drainage work
Window and Door installation work
Supplier
Task of supplier is to implement a construction project the adequate and timely
supply of construction material and equipment is not only necessary but also
important. The material and equipment supplier should be adequately supported
by efficient and effective transport facilities without which material and equipment
cannot be brought timely and expeditiously on to the site for works to be carried
out by the contractor/builder.
