Check of source positioning with a
after loading devices
The position of sources placed within afterloading devices
can be determined with autoradiographs. It is necessary to
check that the unit will position the source with millimetre
accuracy at predetermined programmed positions along
treatment catheters. The use of appropriate radiographic
markers and combination of a radiographic image with an
autoradiograph is a convenient method for checking
source positioning.
