                  International Responses to Humanitarian

                                        Crisis in Myanmar






               On 12 March 2018, the Fact-Finding Mission of the UN Human Rights Council interim report
               to the 37  Session of the UN Human Rights Council confirms the seriousness of the situation
                       th
               in Rakhine and seriousness of human rights violations, and called on Myanmar authorities to
               stop dismissing reports that serious human rights violations have been committed in Kachin,
               Shan and Rakhine states.


               In August 2017, the Advisory Commission on Rakhine State led by former United Nations
               Secretary General Kofi Annan. The Advisory Commission recommends that the government take
               concrete steps to end enforced segregation of Rakhine Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims; ensure
               full and unfettered humanitarian access throughout the state; tackle Rohingya statelessness and   H.E. Dr. Fadli Zon
               “revisit” the 1982 Citizenship Law; hold perpetrators of human rights violations accountable;   visited Rohingya Refugee
