quicker and safer. Even putting the new
horns everywhere in the school, this
technology is a good fit for our customers
as it is cost saving, both in power
reduction due to the energy-efficient
technology and also less wiring.
Customized clocks: American Time
manufactures clock systems that can
be used as secondary replacements for
Edwards’s clocks. The AllSync Plus®
replacement clocks use a solid state
circuit board movement instead of
the traditional mechanical movement
and uses up to 80% less energy. The
Waterloo Public School did not want
to have the “American Time” logo
written on their school clocks. After a
couple meetings with engineers and the
schoolboard itself, our quote team got
American Time to provide some custom
clock designs for the schoolboard to
decide which they wanted. This flexibility
secured the business and also brings an
added value for the school so they can
have a clock they can be proud of.
Fire Evacuation Map: Every school room
now has a fire evacuation map that
includes the equipment integrated in the
school, the safe exits and a “You Are
Here” pin location. This allows students,
staff, and visitors to quickly find the
nearest exit and evacuate efficiently.
SECURITY
Chubb safety at school is optimized when
fire equipment is combined with security.

It gives the school group better peace
of mind when it comes to protecting
children and school staff (teachers,
janitor, principal, etc.). Installing a
security system is the first step in
mitigating security risks.
To fulfill our commitment, we provide the
following technologies:
Intrusion: During school hours, many
remote or isolated doors are locked
so no one can enter. After school, the
rest of the doors are also locked, either
manually or automatically from the
intrusion system with electric strikes.
If an intruder enters the school, our
Burglar alarm system will detect it
thanks to a variety of sensors, including
door contacts and motion detectors.
CCTV: Closed-Circuit Television cameras
(CCTV) send signals to monitors via
private cable runs, which makes them
a “closed circuit.” It secures the access
to video surveillance footage that can
provide high definition images that are
quick and easy to retrieve and analyze.

of CCTV systems.
Alarm monitoring: An alarm system is
only good when a response is provided
in case of danger.
