“Trivia through the Decades.” Enjoy team trivia with old and new friends,
and answer general trivia questions from 1956 through 2021. Teams will
be assigned that evening, providing a great opportunity to meet new people
and (hopefully) win prizes while testing your trivia chops. All are welcome

Shavuot Experience at Celery Fields
Climb Mt. Sinai with Temple Sinai! Wear green, bring your own cheese-
cake or blintzes and participate in this Shavuot experience at Celery Fields,
6893 Palmer Blvd., Sarasota. Celebrate the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai,
be reminded of the sweetness of the Torah and that the Torah calls Israel
the land “flowing with milk and honey.” The event begins at 10:00 a.m.
and is free for all ages; interfaith families welcome. For more information,

According to Jewish tradition, God gave us the Torah on the holiday of
Shavuot. Since the 16 century, it has been customary to observe the

holiday with a Tikkun Leil Shavuot – a special night of Jewish study.

learning facilitated by Temple Emanu-El Rabbis Brenner and Elaine
Glickman and Rabbi Michael Shefrin. All are welcome to this free

“Speak Out, Stand Up Against Antisemitism:
Socialism and the Jews”
This is Jewish Activism 101 in today’s world with socialism beckoning
masses to its promises not kept for the Jews and other minorities. Its toll
on Jewish life in socialist countries, like National Socialist Germany, has
dwindled our numbers, traditions and religious observances, drastically
reduced with the onset and onslaught of socialist tyranny. Wherever
socialism for the past 100 years has flourished, Jews and Jewish life have
been lost, often forevermore. Know the past to know our future! This class,
presented by the Al Katz Center, begins at noon via Zoom. Cost: $10 per
