Disability Insurance
It’s very important to be prepared for
the unexpected . That’s why Adreima has
beneits which offer income protection Voluntary Short Term Disability
to you and your family in case of a life
altering event . The Short Term Disability beneit will be administered through
SunLife Financial. Depending on the nature of your health concern,
you could be eligible for up to 13 weeks of paid time away from
work. This beneit is paid at 60 percent of your basic weekly earnings
to a maximum of $1,500 weekly. If you are in California, Hawaii,
New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island, these beneits will be
coordinated with your state’s disability beneit program. Short Term
Disability is a voluntary beneit and is paid for by you. If you did
not elect this coverage during Open Enrollment in 2013, you must
provide proof of good health to add it now.
Long Term Disability
If your disability extends beyond 13 weeks, you may qualify for
continued payment under the Long Term Disability beneit program.
Under this beneit, you receive 60 percent of your pre-disability
monthly income, to a maximum monthly beneit of $6,000. This
beneit is paid for by Adreima.
Like Short Term Disability beneits, Long Term Disability beneits
are coordinated with any state, workers’ compensation, or other
beneits you may receive.
