e are now in our seventh
year of giving you the best
coverage of any and
Weverything relevant to
the rat rod universe. We’ve been
all over the country and we’ve
featured builds from all over the
world. But we could argue that
the most passionate rat rodders
are those that come from the
deep South, namely the bayous
and swamps of Louisiana. They
have numerous events year
‘round with colorful names like
Swamp Stomp, Atomic Blast
(see page 26), and Hazardous
Waste. These colorful names aren’t
just for show. They build their cars
strong and beat on them in ways
(freestyle burnouts, donut contests,
grass drags) that emphatically validate
these monikers. The best part is that
these folks are amongst the kindest,
funniest, most genuine people we
have ever come across. One of those
people is Ron ‘Mr. Sparkz’ Alexander.
And the truck you see here is the ‘Crab
Killa’. Crab Killa? We’ll explain…
