Editor’s Notes
ometimes I sit down to write these editor’s notes
and words pour out of me faster than I can type.

like hours, not knowing what direction to go.
SIt’s funny, because right now as I start writing this
installment, all I can think about is how much I fought
even doing these at all. Back in the early issues I would
say “thanks for the support” either in the front or back of
the magazine, but I’d never write much more than that.
Eventually I was pushed to do an editor’s note. Emphasis
on note, because I’d literally write less than a paragraph
and it would almost always be the same things: upcoming
events, here’s the current issue, and thank you for reading.
It’s not that I didn’t care – it’s just that I didn’t think
anyone else did.
When I fi nally started really putting effort into this,
I learned something. Thousands of you are paying
attention. Some of you are connecting with these
words, and some are even deeply affected by them.
I don’t take even one of you – whoever you are – for
granted. I don’t take that connection for granted.
If you’re reading this, it’s worth writing. I had to
