Editor’s Notes

You’ll fi nd this same sense of purpose – maybe not
the same purpose, but the same feeling of hey this
stuff really matters – throughout this magazine. Some
of these guys and gals writing and shooting photos,

these people have become my closest friends. Some I
have never even met. How? Why?
It’s because we share that same selfl ess passion…

that same drive. We might not all share the same
views or opinions, but we all do this with humility and
integrity and respect for one another. Our common
ground is this desire to do something awesome.
There is a lot of this sentiment in the rat rod scene

too, which makes it way more attractive than some
of the stuffy elitist groups out there. That “come one,
come all” warmth still exists even though the scene

has grown. It’s not the same everywhere of course, but
generally speaking – we’re part of a very cool, open
community. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t
have to be rich. Hell, you don’t have to be anything –
you just have to be you.

And speaking of you – thank you. For reading these
little ramblings at the beginning of each issue, and
thank you for supporting the work of everyone here

at the magazine. These guys pour themselves out to
make this magazine great, and I know each of them
appreciates your readership as much as I do.
