personally attends and to make certain that attendance is validated.
A personal planning form for the conference is included in the program and has been emailed to
each registered attendee within the mini-program.
Please print a copy and save an electronic copy of your certificate(s) of attendance. Include a
copy of “Your Personal SCCTM Proof of Session Attendance Sheet” filled in with the
information about the sessions that you attended. File your certificate and your attendance
sheet in with all of the certificates and proofs of attendance for other district approved
workshops and conferences that you have attended during your certificate renewal
timeframe.

storage The organization’s database system maintains and tracks emails for six months after
sending. Beyond this period, SCCTM cannot provide duplicate conference attendance
certificates via email. Upon receiving your attendance certificate. It is advisable to print and store
physical copies. Consider maintaining a hard copy alongside records of other professional
workshops and conferences endorsed by your school district during your personal certificate
renewal period.
"Educators holding a South Carolina Department of Education issued Professional certificate are
only eligible to receive renewal credit for professional development activities at the approval of their
employing South Carolina public school district or renewal entity."
General Information About Certification Renewal
1. SCCTM sessions and workshops vary in duration and are credited based on minutes.
2. You can also earn up to 60 minutes for reviewing the instructional materials in the exhibit
hall area.
3. Each hour of attendance in sessions or workshops equates to one (1) credit point.
Calculate your total points earned by adding session and workshop minutes, then
dividing by 60.
4. Certificates of attendance to be included as conference attendance proof will be emailed to each
attendee. Your personal session attendance log, along the emailed certificate will be your proof of
credit points earned.
5. Retain the emailed certificate, along with your completed forms and personal
planning sheets in your own Certificate Renewal File for submission according to
your district’s procedures.
Keeping up with their own professional development points and proof for
recertification is each attendee’s personal and professional responsibility.
