                                            Thinking Mathematically Together

                                     Session 173 will be held in Richland B from 10:00 - 10:50
Lesson Internalizaon: How to Master a Problem-Based

                                                      Curriculum

Are you looking for answers to delivering a problem-based curriculum to
students? Exemplary teaching starts with a great plan; come internalize a lesson
with us! In this session parcipants will engage in a deep planning process that
can be replicated again and again. Using a problem-based curriculum, we will

incorporate facilitaon strategies that maximize student engagement (Building
Thinking Classrooms/ Derivita) that gets students to understand that math is not
about memorizing, but all about problem-solving (OGAP). Aer atending this

session, you won't be looking for answers anymore. Aer all, it's all the strategies
               that mater most! Grades 6 - 12

                                                  Jason Aldredge, Derivita

                                     Session 174 will be held in Richland C from 10:00 - 10:50

Use TI-84 and TI-Nspire Graphing Technology to Drive Student

                                               Success on the ACT®

Join us as we discuss features of the ACT®, test taking strategies, calculator skills,
and techniques for teaching with TI graphing technology to help students beter
understand concepts covered on the ACT®. Leave with ideas on how to integrate

ACT® pracce into your math curriculum. We will also go over the changes for the
NEW ACT coming out in the fall of 2025. Grades 6 - 12
