Planning Your SCCTM Conference Experience
1. Print Copies: Print several copies of the Session Attendance Log Sheets to help
plan your session choices. Be sure to print the forms for Thursday and Friday.
2. Plan for Full Sessions: Some rooms may reach capacity before you arrive. Plan
alternative sessions in case the one you wish to attend is full.
3. Prepare for Cancellations: Sessions may be cancelled due to emergencies beyond
anyone’s control. Have backup sessions planned in case your preferred session is
cancelled or changed.
4. Exhibit Booth Visits: Allocate time to visit the exhibit booths. You can document up
to 60 minutes of professional development time for exploring the exhibit hall and
learning about new mathematics methods and resources.
5. Track Your Attendance: Keep track of your session attendance. After the
conference, complete an updated copy of your Session Attendance Logs for your
records. You will submit this completed copy along with your Certificate of
Attendance, for recertification to your district. Your certificate will be emailed to you
in December. Keep it with your Session Attendance Logs.
6. File Documentation: Store copies of your Session Attendance Logs Sheets and
your Certificate of Attendance with your other professional development documents.
It is recommended to keep both hard copies and electronic versions.
7. Join GroupMe: Join the SCCTM Program Update and Reminders GroupMe to
receive timely text updates about program changes. This will help you stay informed
of any adjustments needed for your session plans.
