TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PURCHASING
Amazon wants its customers to purchase items of their choice and to give customers the best sales. The
terms and conditions are various rules where a customer follows during purchasing. Prime members and
members of an Amazon Household with Prime benefits can each purchase a maximum of 1 of each
Prime Exclusive Phone per 12 month period. To make sure that prime members do not purchase items
exceeding the limits of purchasing, customers are informed of terms and conditions to make them
aware of when to purchase an item or the limit of purchase.
All customers are informed of the costs of using Amazon.com prior to the point of purchasing an item.
Terms and conditions are applied to users who are using Amazon. Users who sign up for Amazon Prime
membership, accepts the terms, conditions, limitations and requirements.
In “Invoicing and Payment“, where customers are informed of what payment methods are accepted,
and how invoicing will work. Purchasing may be rejected and or account may be closed or suspended if a
customer violate the terms and conditions.
An “Overdue Charges” section tells customers what the penalty will be for when payments are not made
timely: a customer will provide Amazon with valid and updated credit card or debit card information, or
with a valid purchase order. The terms of sales section applies to all products you purchase through the
services.
The “Terms of Buying” section lets customers know what they’re agreeing to do when they make a
purchase on Amazon.
The ‘’ Membership Cancellation’’ section lets customers know that they have control over their account
and they can cancel account or purchased item for membership refund fees, ‘’if they cancel within 3
business days of signing up for or converting from a free trial to a paid membership’’.
The ‘’Prime free trial and invitee customers’’ section lets customers know that they can win Amazon gift
card if they purchase a qualifying smartphone, subscribe to a paid Prime membership and or, remain a
paid Prime member and keep the qualifying smartphone for 3 months.
To make sure that customer agreed to terms and conditions,
I think Amazon should use popups in purchasing process to remind and inform customer of terms and
conditions before purchasing or before using the transactional website to make any form of transaction
or payment, or even before adding the item to basket or wish list.
Using the terms and conditions to verify customer account in verification process (account registry), can
also help enforce the customer to agree to the terms and conditions before purchasing.
