TLOD continues its partnership with Keep America Beautiful (KAB). Through this partnership, TLOD contin-
ues the initiatives that have been its signature Community Beautification Program since its existence: recycling,
graffiti removal, planting trees/flowers, adopting highways, etc. A major focus of KAB is the Great American
Clean-Up and littering.
In addition, KAB selected a Top Teen to be a member on the National Keep America Beautiful (KAB) Youth
Advisory Council (YAC). The YAC creates a national framework for youth engagement. The newly-selected
YAC members will provide an original point of view in assessing KAB programs, implement local service pro-
jects and act as ambassadors and leaders for youth service in their respective communities and states. Goals for
2016-2017 include raising awareness and increasing participation in youth-oriented Keep America Beautiful
School initiatives to end littering.
