Discriminatory treatment of foreign industrial trainees which
excluded them from certain protections under the Labor Standard
Act was ruled unconstitutional in 2007, and refusals by the
prosecutor’s office to allow access to investigation records were
struck down in 1997, and maintenance of lavatories at police
detention facilities lacking sufficient cover of users was also ruled
              unconstitutional in 2001.
As the constitutional adjudication that monitors the exercise
of the governmental power and enhances basic rights of the
people through systematic and consistent interpretation of the
constitution implementing the constitutional values became all
the more active, democracy and the rule of law that are enshrined
in the constitution have become more consolidated. During that
process, regulation over the abuse of the state power was achieved,
and the status of people as the subject of fundamental rights was
              elevated.
In recognition of these achievements, the Constitutional Court
of Korea has continued to rank number 1 as the most trusted and
influential government institution in surveys conducted by major
              media sources since 2005.
                  2.
I understand that the Constitutional Court of Thailand was first
established in 1998 by the constitutional amendment in 1997, and
that the current Court was formed in 2007 by the constitutional
amendment in 2007, and has been actively fulfilling its mission
              since then.
The Constitutional Court of Thailand is appraised to retain more
comprehensive and tight jurisdiction than any other constitutional
              institution in the world.
While the Constitutional Court of Thailand has jurisdiction on
dissolution of a political party and adjudication on competence
