                the cloud;  xIvasna> = impressions in intellect; icdaÉas>  = reflected Consciousness;  tu;arSwovt!  =

                like sky in water particles in the cloud;  iSwt>  = exists.


                156. Maya is like a cloud and impressions in the intellect are like water particles constituting the

                cloud. The reflected Consciousness in Maya is like the sky reflected in the water particles in the

                cloud.

                157. Shruti declares that the reflection of Consciousness in the intellect is under the control of Maya,
                (and the same Consciousness reflected in Maya) is the great Ishvara, the wielder of Maya. He alone

                is the inner controller, omniscient and the cause of this creation.
