Board of Commissioners
Elects New Chairman
The North Broward Hospital District (NBHD) Board of
Commissioners recently elected Andrew Klein, Esq., to
serve as chairman.
Chairman Klein is the managing attorney at Klein Law
Group, PLLC, a firm specializing in communications law.
He maintains a national communications practice, repre- Andrew Klein
senting communications companies in a variety of regulato-
ry, litigation, compliance and contract matters, in court and before the Federal
Communications Commission, NYPSC, and state public utility commissions nation-
wide. He previously served as session counsel to the New York Public Service
Commission, where he reviewed and coordinated all session items presented for con-
sideration in each of the five industries regulated by the commission. He received a
bachelor’s of economics and a bachelor’s of government from Clark University and a
juris doctor from Albany Law School. Gov. Scott appointed Klein to fill a vacant seat
for a term beginning August 25, 2017, and ending December 13, 2020.

Oncology Services, Ambulatory Services and Business

Development. During her tenure she has had oversight of major programmatic and
facility expansions at Boca Regional’s Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer
Institute, Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health and Wellness Institute and Gloria
Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute.
Prior to joining BRRH, Ms. Shikiar served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief
Operating Officer at Kindred/Vencor Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. 21st Scleroderma Patient Education Day
Her 35-year career in healthcare is comprised of numerous nursing industry posi-
tions including that of Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Quality
and Case Management.
Ms. Shikiar received her bachelor of science in nursing from Boston University and Guest Speakers:
both her master in business administration and her master of science in nursing from
the University of Miami.

The Board of Trustees of Jupiter Medical Center has
inducted a new member, Peter A. Lund.
Lund brings a particularly impressive skill set to Jupiter Jessica Massengale
Medical Center. At the beginning of his career, he spent 15 Patient Advocate
years at various radio and television stations across the
country before joining CBS in 1977. During more than 20 Peter A. Lund
years with CBS he managed TV stations in Chicago and
New York, served as President of the CBS Television Stations Division, President of
CBS Sports, President of the CBS Television Network, and President of the CBS
Broadcast Group. He also served as President of Multimedia Entertainment. Saturday, June 2, 2018
Lund is currently a director of Emmis Communications. He is a past director of
