What Is Whiplash?
Whiplash is a common injury of
the neck due to a sudden
movement of the neck forwards
and then backwards. Whiplash
is an injury to the soft tissues of
your neck (specifically ligaments,
tendons, and muscles). Your
doctor may use terms such as
cervical sprain/strain to describe
this injury.

What Causes Whiplash?
The most common cause of whiplash is motor
vehicle accidents. In addition, whiplash can be
caused by sporting activities, accidental falls,
and assault.
