Cervical Sprain/Strain:
• Severe unremitting neck pain
• Neck pain unaffected by changes in position
or pain not controlled with appropriate
medication
• Severe persistent neck muscles spasms
• Inability to perform daily work or activities
that could do prior
• Weakness
• Numbness
• Upper extremity tingling or loss of function
• Difficulty breathing
• Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, or vomiting
• Ringing in ears or decreased hearing
Cervical HNP (Herniated Disc):
• Arm muscle weakness
• Deep pain near or over the shoulder blade on
affected side
• Neck pain, especially in back and sides
• Increased pain when bending the neck or
turning head to the side
