The Thesis without Points Listed
The thesis without points listed presents the central idea of the essay
without listing the points of development. A thesis that does not list
points requires you to plan carefully to keep yourself and your reader
on track. Without the road map that listing your points provides, it is
even more important that your essay flow logically and smoothly.
Thus, topic sentences require careful planning so that they are clearly
connected to the thesis. When you plan a thesis without points listed,
it is a good idea to plan each topic sentence, too, to ensure that you
stay on track. Remember, not listing points does not mean that you do
not plan them; it simply means you do not list them in the thesis.
