                    Building CONNECTIONS

Methods of development are tools of a writer’s trade. Like a

carpenter’s hammer, saw, and sander, they each do a specific
job. Which one should you use? It depends on the job you have

to do. Some pieces of writing will require just one method, but

most will require you to use more than one of the tools of your

                    trade.
