Through the resistor across terminals AB, current of 5 A flows from A to B
due to voltage source of 75 V and a current of 4 A flows from B to A due to
               voltage source of 64 V. The net current I AB is equal to I AB = 5 − 4 = 1 A

when the effect of both the voltage sources are superimposed.

Example 2.13 Determine current through a 8 Ω resistor in the network
shown in Fig. 2.36 using the superposition theorem.

               Solution:

Step 1: First the effect of current source will be considered. The voltage

source is replaced by a short circuit. Using the current division rule, we
determine current I flowing from B to A as
                                      1
