Cloud computing changes IT service management within an organization.
More work is done by external suppliers, which means the structure of a

business has to change. In some cases, current internal staff within an
organization will have their job roles redefined, while in other cases new
job roles will be created. Some roles will be eliminated, because they no
longer provide substantial value in a cloud environment.

Implementing cloud services means the demand for computer resources is
more quickly met and resources can be self-provisioned by those needing
them. These outcomes—increased flexibility and quicker access to tools—

result in greater efficiency, but internal service management processes will
need to change to accommodate these quickened demands.
