3. The memo suffers from the wall of words effect. Using an unjustified
right margin and adding spaces between the paragraphs would make
the document more readable.
4. The main points do not jump from the page. Headings would go a
long way toward emphasizing the main points.
In Figure 6.5, you will see a portion of a memorandum written by a
different student in the same class. You don’t need to be a seasoned
communications professional to see the stark difference between this
memorandum and the one in Figure 6.4. The memorandum in Figure 6.5
is more appealing to the eye and more user-friendly. The writer used white
space effectively, emphasized key points with headings, and wrote a clear
