Short-term Disability (STD) | cigna.com
Short-term Disability (STD) is provided at no cost to you—Epicor pays 100% of the cost and

STD insurance helps ensure a continued income if you become ill or injured and unable to

If your non-occupational illness or injury lasts longer than 180 calendar days, LTD will
pay 60% of your base earnings, up to a maximum of $10,000 a month, on a federal tax-
free basis! Benefits continue until you are no longer disabled or you reach the age of 65,
whichever is sooner.
Please Note: STD and LTD are both company paid benefits; however, in order to receive
disability payments without having federal income tax deducted when benefits are
received, you need to pay for these benefits post tax. Therefore, you pay for the benefit and
then Epicor reimburses you for the premiums you paid. You will see your contribution under
your deductions and the company reimbursement under earnings on your pay stub.
