MATT BISCEGLIA
Matt Bisceglia had one of the toughest off seasons anyone could possibly have. He had to deal with the
process of switching teams and dialing in a new bike, which is rarely ever completely seamless. And then in late January just as he was getting comfortable on his MAD Racing Yoshimura/Dirt Candy Suzuki, he endoed hard stepping off a tabletop on a practice track resulting in a broken collarbone. It was a huge step back for the Texas rider as he opted to have surgery to try and get back for the beginning of the 250 East Coast series. Bisceglia was able to line up at the opening round in Atlanta but was far from 100% just a few weeks off of surgery. Not being 100% resulted in some tough finishes there at Atlanta as well as the next round in Daytona; but then last weekend in Toronto, Bisceglia took advantage of a crazy main event and grabbed his first podium of the year. Being able to lead some laps and notch a podium surely gave Bisceglia a huge confidence boost that can power him to get back to feeling 100%.
