AJ Catanzaro had a rough day in the Motor City. He managed to qualify fairly well in 17th but went
down hard in practice after logging that time. It was in question if he would suit up for the night
show but he’s got that New England toughness so he sucked it up and got ready for the heat race.
Despite showing some true grit by lining up, the night show was no better for Catanzaro. He would struggle with bad starts in all three qualifying races and never got close to a main event transfer spot. It was definitely a night he’d like to quickly forget after having a good race just a week ago. He may have been feeling the effects of his practice crash so he will use this week off to get healthy and come back with a vengeance.
