own transportation for job shadowing.
This course is open to Juniors and Seniors and is designed to focus on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and
rehabilitation of injuries related to sports and physical activity. This will be a combination of in-class lectures,
skills training, field trips, and guest lectures. The first semester will focus on emergency medicine and treatment:
First Aid and CPR, concussion recognition and management, heat related conditions, and recognition/immediate
treatment of common medical emergencies. The second semester will focus on the anatomy of the skeletal,
muscular, and nervous systems. Students will receive skills training and in-class lectures including anatomy,
