common sports injuries, basic treatment, rehabilitation protocols, as well as taping and bracing procedures.
Students will also explore sports nutrition and basic strength and conditioning principles. Students will perform
10 hours of professional job shadowing outside of regular class time. The job shadow experiences will be
arranged by the instructor and are designed to meet students’ future career interests. Upon successful completion
of the course, each student will receive a Red Cross Responding to Emergencies First Aid and CPR certification.
