                   63, and was buried in Rangihaukaha Urupa, Pukepoto.
                          Rapunga Kupu Akoako: (korero taken from "Boroughdale Murray, the
                          beginning of a NZ dynasty"et al) Marara Marella Murray; 11th child and
                          6th daughter of John and Kataraina Murray was born in 1862 and married
                                                                                              Marara Murray
                          Henry Povey. A great grandaughter Mona Tracey was largely brought up by her
                          grandparents. She still remembers and lives by the philosophies taught by her
                          grandmother; "to never do or say anything of which you would be ashamed, to treat others as you
                          would like to be treated". She stressed cleanliness, godliness and self respect.  She referred to
                          Marella as "Mum" and remembers her as very clean and a very good cook. She also remembers not
                          wanting to kiss "Papa" because he had whiskers. Marella lived at Peria in a house built in 1900 with
                          Henry and thier children.  Four of thier sons went to war 1914 - 1918.
                      Marara marena Henry Povey [987] [MRIN: 411]. Henry died on 6 Dec 1923 and was
                      buried in Rangihaukaha Urupa, Pukepoto.

                       555 M    vi. Darcy Povey [994] was born on 24 Sep 1886 and died on 10 Apr 1949 in Kaitaia at age
                                    62.
                                    Rapunga Kupu Akoako: Darcy Povey; Private# 25737, enlisting on 27May1916 with G
                                    Company 3rd NZ Rifle Brigade, embarking 23Sep1916 from Wellington arriving at
                                    Devonport on 18Nov1916 and then posted to France on 14Dec1916. Darcy was
                                    discharged on 4May1919, he was issued with the British War Medal and the Victory
                                    Medal for his service.
                                    The theatres of war he served in; (1) Western Front 1916 - The Western Front was the
                                    scene of continuous combat from the start of the war until the last day of the war,
                                    November 11, 1918. The fighting on the Western Front was mainly confined to the north-
