HB 2183- Funeral escorts; funeral board licensure
In addition to other provisions pertaining to military escort vehicles, requires the Board of Funeral
Directors and Embalmers to license funeral escort vehicles and drivers and military escort vehicles and
drivers in a manner as prescribed by the Board by Rule. Additionally, the bill requires the Board to issue
a license to a driver of a military escort vehicle only if the applicant is affiliated with a nonprofit
organization that provides military processions and meets the other requirements as prescribed by the
Board.

HB 2220- Property Tax exemption; Veterans organizations
Property that is owned by a United States veterans' organization that qualifies as a charitable
organization and that is recognized under either section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) or 501(c)(19) of the internal
revenue code is exempt from taxation if the property is used predominantly for those purposes and is not
used or held for profit.

Requires a purchasing agency, when awarding a contract to the lowest bidder, to grant preference to a
veteran-owned business or an Arizona bidder, in that order, over a nonresident bidder if there are two or
more low, responsive offers from the responsible bidders that are identical in price.
