Proposed Military & Veterans Affairs Amendment: Removes the requirement that the veteran’s 100% VA
certified disability must have resulted from combat related injuries that were sustained in specific theaters
of operation. Additionally, for a veteran who is a bona fide Purple Heart recipient, removes the
requirement that the veteran must have sustained an injury resulting from actions outlined in the bill and
served in at least one of the specified theaters of operation to be eligible for a Purple Heart VLT and
registration fee exemption

HB 2764- Mental Health; Omnibus
Expands youth access to behavioral health services in schools with an $8 million appropriation,
establishes a Suicide Mortality Review Team, and ensures insurance plans offered in Arizona comply
with existing federal mental health parity laws. Among other members, the Suicide Mortality Review Team
must include a representative of a veterans’ organization or military family advocacy program.
