Teej
Teej, short for Hartalika Teej, is the fasting festival of women in Nepal. It usually
takes place in Nepali Bhadra month (August to September in Solar Calendar)
and lasts for three days. Teej Puja is particularly held at Pashupatinath to
commemorate the reunion of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. During Teej
Festival, Nepalese women will dress in their beautiful red saris, fast to honor
Lord Shiva and pray for a happy marriage. LDP Teej was organized with the
motive to gather all the employees for the celebration of the festival and
happiness. The LDP event started with Teej Mela, where they placed stalls of
different ladies’ item and encouraged all the staffs to purchase gifts for self
and for other special ladies in their life. BestRole model of the company was
also organized on the same day, where Mr. Nikhil from CRD bagged the title.
Exercises like this helps organizations to start moving in the direction of the
goals by opening up a dialogue between the leaders and employees and also
allows the employees to open up and to showcase their hidden talents.
